THE ARTIST PRESENTING HIMSELF ON VIDEO TAPE: Angel Feathers Within Wings was completed on February 12 2008. This painting on stretched canvas is the 6th of the Cement and Acrylics series to date. The painting stands out from others in the series in that it has a way of compelling the viewer to touch its wispy angel feathers. Through a complex series of cement applied to canvas in winding rib-like curves, and strips of acrylic representing feathers, the artist feels he has made an important connection between the angel feathers and its wing. Look for more of this series, with at least a dozen more paintings to follow. NOTE: The Angel Feather Series has been accepted by a prominant gallery in New York City. . . JACKSON'S REDEMPTION - The Paintings Fascinating Story Jackson's Redemption: The title came out of my premonition that Michael would win the legal case against him. It was something I just knew would happen, and so, I came up with the title long before the decision was made in his favor. The impetus for this current work began long after I corrected the eye only to discover I had created this painting of Michael Jackson - in fact it had been eleven years. All along I had kept wondering why I had the subject holding that odd-looking tree branch. When I finally managed to get away for a vacation in Miami, Flordia I found the answer................

The Fauve was a group of artists consisting of three main groups, each with a different background, which contributed to the rise of Fauvism as follows: 1 - The ex-students of Gustave Moreau and the Academie Carriere: These early practitioners included Henri Matisse and Albert Marquet. 2 - The wildest of the wild beasts: These were Andre Derain and Maurice Vlaminck. 3 - The late-comers with impressionist backgrounds: These were Georges Braque, Raoul Dufy, and Othon Friesz. Next, the images were painstakingly drawn using pencil and then painted in using four different acrylic colors. The only tool used in duplicated the images was the artist's trained eye. No mechanical means whatsoever were used to reproduce the original miniature drawing on paper. The image in white represents The Holy Ghost, while the other images represent the spirits of the supernatural realm. The spirits include God The Father, Mary The Mother, and the infant Jesus Christ. Elixir of Love: In honor of the great Luciano Pavarotti ELIXIR OF LOVE: In memory of Luciano Pavarotti, who died on September 6, 2007, and the encore performance of one of his most treasured roles, Nemorino in Donizetti's L'Elisir D'Amore (The Elixir of Love). The two-and-one-half-hour, two-act opera was originally broadcast on PBS stations from the stage of the Metropolitan Opera in New York City on March 2, 1981.
